Responsible for the successful implementation of new projects with cross-functional APQP teams, ensuring all customer and Hematite objectives and goals are met with specific focus on cost, timing, and quality. Responsible for communicating Program Management performance and participating in Operations Management reviews.


  • Responsible for introduction of projects from award to completion using cross-functional APQP teams ensuring all customer and Hematite objectives and goals are met within customers’ timeline
    • Responsible for the critical path master program process and timing charts
    • Responsible for reviewing all engineering/manufacturing external timing charts
    • Ensure all milestones are met, both customer & internal
    • Assist team members in removing any roadblocks and resolution of   problems that can affect the project
    • Report to management any major problems that affect timing, costs & implementation of project; tracking of program costs; track all change levels, costs, timing and effects
  • Coordinate regular team level program management and APQP meetings, as well as management report out meetings
  • Facilitate communication between customer, sales, engineering functions, outside vendors, manufacturing and multi-facility groups
  • Support technical solutions to meet customer and Hematite cost, quality, and delivery expectations
  • Initiate costing requests and information for engineering changes
  • Prepare project budget
  • Work on special projects and departmental goals


  • Four (4) year university engineering program, or equivalent
  • Formal Project Management training/experience required
  • Experience required for proficiency in project management enabling project supervision and problem solving gained through wide exposure and seasoning in the automotive industry
